Bolarinde Damilola who won the Face of Amber pageant two years ago, has called out the organizers of the beauty competition for never fulfilling their promise to her. In  a post she shared on IG, Bolarinde who is set to hand over to another queen today, alleged that she was promised a trip to California, a car, modeling contracts and more but she never got them. According to her, she only received N10,000 from the organizers. Read her post after the cut.

Bayelsa State Police Command arrested two suspects, Tom Yakubu Musa and one Okechukwu Umeokoro for allegedly abducting a 25-year-old woman in Warri, Delta State on April 4th. Parading the suspects before newsmen in Yenagoa, the state Commissioner of Police, CP Asuquo Amba said the suspects kidnapped one Aya Beauty from Warri and took her to Bayelsa where they kept her captive in a hotel while demanding for a N24 million ransom from her family.

On Tuesday April 4th, Ekiti state Governor, Ayo Fayose, released a statement in which he alleged that the Former Governor of the state now Minister of Solid Minerals, Kayode Fayemi, was planning to unseat him(Read here ). Fayose in the statement, alleged that Fayemi was plotting to ''return as the State Governor through the back-door". According to him, Fayemi is planning to arm-twist the Supreme Court to review its judgment of April 14, 2015, which validated his election in June 21, 2014.

Suspected Niger Delta militants have killed five police officers and two soldiers in the Isawo area of Ikorodu, Lagos state. According to residents of the area, the attacks happened in the early hours of today April 9th. The militants most of whom are kidnappers and pipeline vandals, engaged the security agents in a fierce gun battle that started as early as 3am. Some of the militants were killed in the gun battle. At the Big Brother Naija finale today, 2face Idibia was the headline performer and he premiered a new song titled 'Holy Holy'. The song written by Innocent Idibia and John ‘AJ’ Agom is 2Baba’s first official single in 2017 and he used lyrics in the song to address the controversial February 6 #OneVoiceNigeria protest taking shots at those who want to pull him down.

During the ongoing Big Brother Naija 2017 finale show, the organisers of the show played a video of Tboss saying the 25million naira prize money isn't a big deal  as she will spend it all within a week, (read here ).  Ebuka Uchendu, the host of the show asked her why she was in the house if she didn't need it. Addressing the issue Tboss said: My life has never been about money, I like the lifestyle but there are things i wouldn't compromise for the money, i was just saying that If i got the money and sort out all my debts,  trust me that money go finish.

Nigerian orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Donald Okechukwu Ozumba has been arrested by McKinney police, Texas on suspicion that he sexually assaulted two female patients while they were under his care. Dr. Donald Okechukwu Ozumba, 44, faces two charges of sexual assault, according to court records. McKinney police arrested him Friday, March 31, and booked him at the Collin County Jail, where his bail was set at $50,000.

An 11 year old boy, Tysen Benz, was at home when he saw social media posts indicating that his 13-year-old girlfriend had committed suicide. The posts were a prank, but the 11-year-old boy apparently believed them and thought his girlfriend had really died. Using a cellphone he had bought without his mother's knowledge, Tysen on March 14, read texts and other messages about the fake suicide of his and decided he would end his life too, his mother Katrina Goss said.
