HOW I SAVED MY COLLEAGUE FROM DEPRESSION

My colleague at work was going through silent challenges and could not talk to anyone.

I had noticed this when I discovered she was usually reserved and alone. She would sit down outside thinking and starring at a distance. This was going on for about a week.

One day I approached her and asked her what the problem was. She told me she was fine. I assured her that she could trust me and talk to me about her challenges. But she insisted she was fine.

Within that week, I became very close to her and would go to her and sit down with her to talk. At first, she wanted to be alone. But I wouldn't let her. 

I told her some of my troubles and sought advice from her. This was in a bid to make her comfortable with me so she could share hers as well.

When we had become very free, she told me about her challenges. It was painful to hear. It was about betrayal from a friend she trusted so much. And that betrayal had made her lose the only man she loved. A man whom she had planned to marry.

Her story was touching.

I advised her to pray about it and seek God's intervention. I assured her I was going to join her in prayers too.

"It doesn't matter what he knows about you. What matters is his love for you. We would pray that God touches his heart to forgive you. And if he chooses to go on with the marriage plans, then it is fine. But if he chooses not to, then you know God has better plans."

I was led to pray with her and I did. 

Two weeks later, she came to work looking very excited.

I asked why she was so happy.

She told me that her Fiance had called her to say good morning. It was the first call in over a month. 

"Praises, this is a great start for me. My joy knows no bounds." She announced.

I was happy for her.

Yesterday, she came with a ring in her hands. She told me that her boyfriend had proposed again and their marriage is happening very soon.

There is nothing too big that God cannot handle. There is no heart that God can't touch. Instead of crying about your problem, take it to him in prayers and your miracle will surely come through.
